We currently collect and process the following information:

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Because you make a booking
  • Because you enquire about availability or simply ask us a question about the accommodation
  • Because you asked to be added to our mailing list [If applicable] We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
  • From bookings made through Airbnb, we use the information that you have given us in order to process your booking or enquiry. We may also infrequently send you details of offers or local events you may be interested in.  We may bring your data across from Airbnb systems to our Channel Manager (Bookalet).  Data stored by Bookalet is stored in the UK and they act as data controller.
  • Bookalet handle our direct bookings (via the form on our website) – We save your booking details so we can process your booking and may occasionally contact you with offer and special events.
  • We will share this information with no one else.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  1. Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us by email (info@oldliquorstores.uk)
  2. We have an obligation to process your booking our enquiry.
  3. We have a legitimate interest.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored. We keep your contact information outlined above for five years after your booking is complete or from your enquiry. If you subscribe to our mailing list, you may unsubscribe using the link at the foot of each mailing.  

We will then dispose of your information by deleting your information from our website’s database, our cloud storage and, if applicable, from our Airbnb and/or Bookalet account.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate.
  • You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
  • Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights.
